In the Australia capital Vienna on 18/7 over 20.000 delegates from 185 countries and territories around the world attended the opening session of the 18^th International HIV/AIDS.

This international conference is held every two years. In more than five working days, the conference will focus primarily on the exchange as well as promote research and new methods of HIV prevention and AIDS treatment.

In addition, a more important topic at the conference is urged, especially the rich, increase donations to fight HIV/AIDS.

In the speech via a video shown at the opening ceremony of the conference, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon welcomed the progress in global program against HIV in the past time and also clearly still many obstacles to implementing this program.

United Nations Secretary-General criticized some government investment has cut the fight against HIV/AIDS and called for additional funding for some areas the government has long been “forgotten”

In a speech at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the International AIDS patients (IAS) and who chaired he 18^th meeting, Julio Montaner and Chairman of the AIDS patients of the Republic of Austria Brigitte Schmied has called for public international efforts against HIV/AIDS and called for protection against any act of discrimination against any people with HIV/AIDS.

Shortly before the opening ceremony of the conference, many movement activities in support of HIV/AIDS has focused on first building where the meeting took place, carrying banners calling for government and donors to increase provide financial strength and commitment to respect the contributions for programs combating HIV/AIDS.
