On occation the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the United States signed framework of emergency profram on AIDS of the President (PEPFAR), the organization United Nations in Vietnam congratulates the government for his commitment to continue to maintain in the implementation of Universal Access to comprehensive HIV services as well as proceeding to stop and reverse the HIV epidemic in Vietnam.

Government support of the United States contributin to the efforts of Vietnam in order to prolong the life of treatment for people living woth HIV and HIV prevention for people with high rosk of HIV infection in Vietnam, especially since the PEPFAR profram started in Vietnam in 2005.

Within the framework strategy on HIV in Vietnam, UN organization in Vietnam a strong commitment to continue to support the implementation of framework partnerships with PEPFAR, through close to cooperation with the Ministry Health Vietnam and the four agencies implementing PEPAFR in Vietnam, including the Agency for the international Development United States, Centers for Disease Control, Department of mental health and substance abuse, and Deparment of Defense.

“We fully believe that the framework partnerships with PEPFAR is an important part of Vietnam’s efforts to accelerate the implementation of Universal Access to HIV prevention services, treatment, care and support to archive development objectives Millennium stop and reverse the epidemic by 2015, as well as towards a sustainable national response to HIV” Mr. Eamonn Murphy, UNAIDS Director of Vietnam cum chairman of the Group to cooedinate United Nations on HIV in a statement.
