According to a recent study, test nucleic acid (NAT) can detect HIV antibodies earlier test currently being used in HIV research program in the community.

Scientists at San Diego School of Medicine (University of California) has studied more than 3,000 patients to HIV testing in community clinics in San Diego and surrounding areas to examine the effectiveness of NAT and determine quickly test whether patients can receive the results please telephone or internet.

Test NAT results showed 23% increase ability to detect HIV, and most study subjects received negative results through automated telephone or Internet.
