When the patient should go to health facilities?

For those cases have been identified with HIV, patients must visit at the medical facility when detecting one of the signs are:

-         Diarrhea lasting over 4 days;

-         Abdominal pain, bowel mucus, blood;

-         High fever or prolonged fever;

-        Chest pain, shortness of breath, cough;

-         Cough lasting more than 10 days;

-         Coughing up blood or bloody sputum;

-         Signs of dehydration with symptoms of thirst, dry mouth, dark urine;

-         Inflammation, pimples and skin lesions on the body;

-         Severe mouth ulcers, eye inflammation, eyelid inflammation;

-         Foul-smelling wounds, bleeding or deep black;

-         The rash appears after antibiotics or antiviral drugs;

-         More fatigue, frequent headaches or dizziness;

-         Continuous long-term insomnia.

For AIDS cases, treatment must be registered at the outpatient clinic. Some patients will be treated with antiretroviral drugs, several other cases will be preventive treatment for opportunistic infections. So when all AIDS patients in any clinical manifestations which are required to visit at the outpatient clinic for treatment, counseling and assistance.
